2 - 3 Hours

Oven temp 350°F

Small Batch (2 Loaves)

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 4 tbsp softened butter
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp instant yeast
  • 4 1/2 - 6 cups white flour

Large Batch (6 Loaves)

  • 3 cups warm milk
  • 3 cups warm water
  • 1 1/2 sticks softened butter
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 3 tbsp instant yeast
  • 13 - 17 cups white flour

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. With the dough hook in place, add milk, water, butter, sugar, salt, about half of the flour, and the yeast into the mixing bowl.
  3. Use the “P” switch to incorporate. Optional step: for enhanced flavor and texture, allow the batter to sit for 15-30 minutes until it becomes bubbly.
  4. Slowly increase to Speed 3 and continue adding the remaining flour, a little at a time until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. You may not need all of the flour.
  5. Continue kneading at Speed 2 for 5-6 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  6. Let the dough rise in the bowl until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the dough and place it onto a floured counter.
  8. Divide the dough into equal portions, shape into loaves, and place into greased loaf pans.
  9. Once the loaves have doubled in size, bake at 350°F for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 190°F-200°F.

Enjoy your delicious homemade bread!
