Vanilla Cherry Chip Ice Cream

This cherry vanilla chip ice cream, made in the NutriMill Ice Cream Maker, is a summer favorite: a classic vanilla base mixed with chopped and blended cherries, mini chocolate chips, and vanilla extract, churned to a dense, scoopable texture with no pre-freezing bowls and no icy graininess, just pour and go, making it an easy homemade treat.

Vanilla Cherry Chip Ice Cream

Ingredients

    • 1 cup Cherries (frozen or fresh) if fresh, must be pitted

    • 1/3 cups granulated sugar

    • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

    • ½ cup whole milk

    • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

    • Pinch of salt

    • ¼ cup of chopped cherries

    • ¼ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

    Directions

    1. Add the 1 cup of cherries, ⅓ cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of heavy whipping cream to a blender, and blend until the mixture is all combined.

    2. Add that mixture to the bowl of the NutriMill Ice Cream Maker, then add in ½ cup of whole milk, also add the ¼ tsp of vanilla extract and pinch of salt.

    3. Fill the sides of the ice cream maker with ice and rock salt, then place the ice cream maker lid on, lock it in place, and mix on speed 3 until it becomes your desired consistency.

    4. Once it is mixed to your desired consistency, add in your chopped cherries and semi sweet chocolate chips, and mix until all combined.

    5. Transfer the ice cream to reusable ice cream containers, and enjoy!
