"This new driveshaft is so much easier to use than the original one. There were two plastic white washers (I would call them washers, I don’t know) on the original one, and they made it very difficult for me to remove and replace the drive shaft when it should’ve been easy. My husband had to help me. This one is so much more functional. Works like a charm for me as a home bakery owner. I love this brand."

"The price is fair and it fixes my mixer, although the original shaft should not have broken within the first year. ( minus one star) Plus the wait time for restock was excessive. I purchased three new shafts to avoid future delays."
"This piece works well until it doesn't, there are two (2) small plastic washers in to of the Drive shaft which Will eventually disintegrate unfortunately into whatever your making, I have Three without the "washers" and without them the shaft bounces up against the cross bar and starts to chew up the Rubberized head dropping into whatever your making. Use of 1/8" thick HDPE (Cutting board materials) which will not Disintegrate upon continued use would solve This problem."
"I’ve had my Artiste for almost a year. I have never been able to replace the drive shaft after use without using a hammer to get it in the proper place because the 2 white plastic washers got in the way of the opening to the bowl. I just ordered a new drive shaft and it goes in beautifully like it’s supposed to. They have changed the design and the white washers on top are much smaller than the original ones I had on the drive shaft that came with my Artiste. I bet it will also stay in place and not move when the machine is running. My original one kept moving and left particles at the top of the drive shaft under the better quality dough hook. I’m thrilled!!!"
"The two plastic washers are very flimsy. My first drive shaft original with the mixer had a plastic washer break before it was even a year old. I was glad to be able to replace it with a new drive shaft that was inexpensive but this one only used once already looks like one of the plastic washers has a slight tear in it. Not a very good design. I do love my mixer except for this."
